Every Tuesday morning since October, Mabel and I have been going to a class called Phonics with Robot Reg.
Faye runs multiple classes around North Devon, and Mabel and I go to the group in Instow with my sister and her son Stanley.
It’s super relaxed – lots of singing, dancing, role-playing, story-telling… and… it’s just loads of fun!
Anyway…
What prompted me to tell you this is that Faye recently shared a lovely montage on Instagram celebrating the hidden talents of the mummies in our class.
She kindly listed me for running Sneak-A-Peek Ultrasound, and it was lovely to meet other parents whose interests include baking, photography, events organising, making baby clothes, and more.
I simply couldn’t believe how many hidden passions existed in such a small group of people, in a phonics class, in Instow. And I also thought it was a lovely way for Faye to celebrate our talents and achievements, and to help the business owner’s spread the word.
Which got me thinking…
In the Sneak-A-Peek Ultrasound community, there must be parents with hundreds of different skills, interests, businesses, and side hustles.
In fact, I know there are, because I’ve met and discussed them with many of you, and I often go home and share your stories (anonymously) with my husband.
So, I want to emulate Fay, and celebrate your personal and work interests with the rest of our community and the public.
Selfishly, it will give me great pleasure to get to know you better and learn more about what you get up to.
I know from experience that it can be incredibly difficult to maintain other interests and/or run a business when you’re pregnant and/or have children… so your achievements and activities are well worth celebrating!
